The Steelers could be without one more starting tackle appropriate after Monday night's injury to OLT Max Starks(notes).
According for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Starks has a serious guitar neck injury and consulted with doctors late Tuesday to determine if health care procedures is required.
Starks left the experience with "stingers" in his neck. He came back but then left for good. An MRI demonstrated it absolutely was alot more serious than a stinger.
Starks, a seventh-year veteran, remains to be the starter at left tackle the previous three seasons. The Steelers dropped starting ORT Willie Colon(notes) to an injury in June.
Steelers CB Ryan Clark(notes) tweeted late Tuesday, "Prayers and feelings with Max Starks. he is going to become missed. Injuries certainly are a terrible segment with this particular game."
The way we see it
This can be considered a real difficult blow for the Steelers. OT Jonathan Scott(notes), who filled in at intervals when Starks was banged up earlier this season, will most likely hold his place. Scott has experience, with 15 profession begins much more than 4 seasons, and he has performed in all 8 discs this season with one start. With Flozell Adams(notes) starting at ORT, the Steelers will most likely be essentially starting two backups in the tackle location the sleep from your way. OG Trai Essex(notes) has battled injuries this season, and rookie C Maurkice Pouncey(notes) obtained dinged up on Monday. The Steelers, an AFC favorite, hold the Jets, Ravens and Browns left on their program still, all clubs making a seem pass rush.
