The Apad is really one cool device
I have no idea how I stumbled across this multimedia internet device several months back on the web. I've never seen anything like it in my life. The uses were beyond me. So, Out of curiosity, I decide to pull the bank card out, and place my order.
I was truly impressed when the postal service showed up 5 days later with a registered delivery. WOW! You talk about being taken by surprise, at the speed of delivery. I really thought the item would take about 4 weeks coming from overseas. Well, it's not the first time I've been proven wrong. I opened the parcel with haste to see this iRobot product which I was completely clueless as to how to operate.
Like most of us, I threw the instruction manual to the side, and began my test drive because I thought it's only a PC like table. What could be so difficult about a 7 inch internet device? STOP! I do not read Chinese. Everything was in a foreign language. Better get that owner's manual after all.
I must tell you, I was blown away. I've never seen anything like it. That's not saying much, considering I've only purchased 3 cell phones in my life. The Apad is one slick piece of work. The stylish look, the smooth service, the touch screen and all those apps I'm in love again. Every application was a wonder for me.
Here are a few steps to getting started:
You need to charge the unit for 10 hours
Before you use your Apad, purchase an micro SD memory card
Big One: Read the owner's manual
Change the language
Set the Time and Time Zone
Big one: Calibrate your unit
Get a Gmail account if you do not have one ( Needed to access the Android Marketplace)
Set up our WiFi ( if you do not have wifi at home this unit will sync to wifi at any hot spot) You will need internet to access many of the apps on the unit
Once you have your Gmail account, and internet access, the sky is the limit to the multimedia applications on the Apad. The unit has goodies like: video, camera, YouTube, Google Maps, Music, HD Movies, 3D games, HDMI, USB, SD storage, rotating screen, View and work in PPT, PDF and word documents, GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, EBook Reader, Chat, and the best of them all: Endless free apps from the Android Marketplace.
Just today, I played a fishing game on the Apad. Shot a few hoops with the basketball app. I was really impressed with the language translator app. Downloaded a free antivirus program. I watched a few videos on YouTube. It's hard putting this thing down. There are So many applications on this internet pc tablet.
If you have been trying to decide if the Apad is right for you, stop your worries It's right for everyone who loves to surf the web, chat, email, facebook, do office work, planning schedules, listening to music, watching videos, playing games, or just viewing your family photos from the Apad gallery.
