How to Do Keyword Research - Avoid Committing 2 Mistakes

If you are new to internet marketing, you need to understand the importance of how to do keyword research well, even before you attempt to start any article marketing campaign, pay-per click campaign or search engine optimization for your website. As you read on, you will learn two mistakes i observed over the past few years being an internet marketers.

Mistake 1: People often neglect the fact that they need to find a good training platform or guides that can help them learn how to do keyword research well. Instead, they spend most of their time and money searching for the best latest keyword research tools. This is a big mistake and it happens to almost every newbies marketers including myself.

If you are on tight budget, you can still do fine with google free keyword external tool. I still used it til date. However, if you are looking at buying one, there are of course some good keyword research tools worth mentioning liked market samurai, wealthy affiliate keyword tool and traffic travis, just to name a few.

Mistake 2: Most guides or some training portal taught people to avoid targeting keywords with little or no search volume. Well, I can't say whether it is right or wrong. But i have experience using a longer tail keyword with little search volume monthly for articles and still manage to get my website ranked well. Pretty amazing.

To me, personally the data of searches on certain keywords provided by keyword tools is just an estimation, you won't know how well will it work for you until you get some content written for it.

After being online for 3 years, these are the two mistakes i observed that i would like to share with you, not to say I am good at finding keywords. In fact til today, I am still learning how to do keyword research in the most effective manner.

Try to start with brainstorming for ideas on the niche you are working on by pretending you are the customer. Write down almost all possible questions you will asked then followed by plugging those into keyword research tools. I find it easier using this method.
