subject: Leaky Gut And Allergies [print this page]

One of the complications of leaky gut syndrome is allergic reaction. Since in leaky gut syndrome the intestinal walls are unable to properly screen larger particles from entering into the bloodstream, it is not uncommon for an undigested or partially digested food particle to find its way into the blood stream. Generally this is does not happen but when the walls of the intestine become damaged for some reason, it loses its ability to filter the substances that can pass through it. Normally the liver will try to deal with the toxins and particles that have been able to pass through the intestinal wall into the blood stream.

But at a certain point the liver becomes overloaded and is unable to totally deal with the foreign bodies allowing them to circulate through the blood system. The body will see this as a foreign body trying to invade and send its antibodies. After this happens a few times, the body starts to recognize a particular food and associates it with danger. Every time that particular particle becomes present antibodies attach themselves to it and trigger the immune systems attack response. This is the reason why we one can suddenly become allergic to foods that you have regularly been eating.

Another form of allergy that may arise because of leaky gut syndrome are ones that come airborne allergens. As mentioned above the body will continuously attack foreign bodies that enter the blood stream. After sometime the immune system will become overstressed and erratic. It will lose its ability to function properly and will be unable to counteract allergens that you may have inhaled such as pollen. Normally your our bodies will react to this but when it becomes too overtaxed, it starts to fail in performing certain basic functions.

Few people relate allergies to the health of their gut but most people with allergies have a severe which compromises their intestinal lining and sets them up for a lifetime of allergies. A highly effective way to eliminate allergies altogether is by using a good Leaky Gut Syndrome Treatment which will help settle your immune system so it doesn't react to every allergen you encounter.

Considering all this, it becomes important to check if you are suffering from leaky gut syndrome whenever your allergy starts to act up or whenever you start developing an allergic reaction to something that you were originally never allergic to. Making the connection between leaky gut syndrome and allergies will ensure that you are treating the root of the problem.
