Siemens hearing aids has been around for pretty long time now. Through many years of research and development, Siemens had made pretty big impact in the hearing impaired world. While, many hearing aids consultants will argue with you that digital hearing aids are the next generations and the best for your hearing - I beg to differ. You see, hearing itself is very subjective. God had created everyone unique - yes, even our hearing! What is natural sound? In my understanding, natural sound is produce by our brains! Sound weird? Is TRUE! Our ears are only a tool to collect the information for our brains to process. So, in order for our hearing to be "natural" we need the source of sound to be "analog" as possible. Siemens digital hearing aids in my opinion does give its user the "analog" experience. Maybe, it is due to it's compression technology.
So in the nutshell, if you are a Siemen's digital hearing aids user.. don't worry. You will STILL able to get back some natural hearing if you do the following exercise :-
1. Use all your senses in re-learning the natural object's sound around you.
2. Close your eyes and concentrate on the sound you are listening.
3. Choose your source carefully - when doing this exercise, pick natural sounds over Dvds or computer generated sound.
