Since the days when the medical condition of the lady-sailor became known at the end of August, ECOTERRA Intl. has held arrangements for a medical evacuation of the women on stand-by, but - while the pirates had agreed - the final go-ahead did so far not come - neither from the Greek owner-manager nor the Ukrainian government. The only help therefore, which could be provided so far, was the assistance by a Ukrainian speaking doctor of the organization, who advised the lady directly what emergency measures she had to apply in order to survive. The remote medical consultation advised the right measures as confirmed by a recent check-up-call from a governmental medical officer and the lady did survive until today, but the Greek ship-owner and the Ukrainian officials are still dragging their feet and didn't achieve a resolute of the hostage crisis.
