Nursing Care Homes in Kent

If you're in the market for a unique nursing care home, one of the most important things to take into consideration before finalizing your decision is location. There are hundreds and thousands of places around the world that has plenty of beautiful gardens, vineyards and orchards to support their claims but none of these places can compare to the "Garden of England".

Kent County, in Southeastern England, is called the "Garden of England" for a reason. It is literally laced with gorgeous gardens, amazingly designed orchards and voluptuous looking vineyards that will take your breath away. It is also known for having traditional seaside resorts, ancient woodlands considered to be a part of ancient history, picturesque villages and towns with historical connections. If this isn't enough to solidify the elegance of Kent County, it's also home of the infamous White Cliffs of Dover. How's that for a place to live and send your children for nursing care.

Kent County has plenty of nursing home care for its residents; case in point, Abbeyrose House in Maidstone. Maidstone is a County town in Kent that is known for historical attractions, like the Archbishop's Palace, Riverside Place and Leeds Castle. Plus, it's known for having some of the best shopping centers in all of Kent County with restaurants, cafes, parks and gardens in abundance. Abbeyrose House has a very unique nursing home care environment. It's basically family-run business which is isolated in a small, quiet area in Maidstone. The place was originally a vicarage; therefore, the setting is serene and picturesque with plenty of flowers and plant life. It has communal lounges, dining area and a special place for those looking to enjoy peace and quietness.

Another place to consider is the nursing care homes in Canterbury. Whenever the name Canterbury is mentioned, thoughts of cathedrals are conjured up but the city of Canterbury is also recognized for a number of other attractions. Included in those attractions are historical buildings, memorable museums, relished restaurants and plenty of parks. But what many people haven't heard of is the Red House Nursing Home on London Rd., in Kent County. It's a 31 bed facility that's family-ran with a number of communal rooms. These two places only scratch the surface of the history behind Kent County's nursing home existence. There's also Roper House in Canterbury; the Isle of Thanet in Ramsgate and Keele House, also located in Ramsgate.
