Cricket is the sport played between two teams each of 11 players with an oval-shaped outdoor known to be cricket field which is having a 22-yard long pitch at the center. It's a bat n ball game between two teams in which one team bats and score as many runs as possible while the other team bowls and fields, tries to dismiss the batsman from the field. The team switches from batting to fielding and vice versa at the end of the innings.

There are different types of matches in the length of the game. Here One day match' so called is having limited overs of maximum 50 played on an International level. Another variation in the length of the game was Twenty 20' having limited overs and about to complete in three hours, usually in the evening session. Another highest level of the game is Test Cricket' to be played over 5 days.

Cricket was being played in Southern England in 16th century. At the end of 18th century it became the national sport of England. Then in 19th century the first International matches were being held. Today, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has 104 member countries. Cricket is the world's second most popular sport after Football.

Cricket at 1900:

Cricket tournament took place in August 19-20 at Velodrome de Vincennes. The only tournament played between Great Britain and France. Great Britain won by 158 runs on France.

The match was recognized as being an Olympic contest in 1912 and the medals were assigned as Gold and Silver.
