subject: What Other Functions A Bathtub Has [print this page]

Bathtubs are incredibly helpful pieces of bathroom furniture. Not only do they give you a wonderful place to relax your aching muscles at the end of the day, they can also be used for so many more purposes! Most people only use them only for bathing; however, once you know the potential it has, you will be using it for many more reasons.

One common use for your bathtub is as a great place for a nap. This idea may sound strange but just hear me out. When you live in a full house, it is almost impossible to catch a few winks of sleep in the middle of the day. Even if you close and lock your bedroom door, people will try to wake you up by banging on the door because they need you for some reason or another. Do not let this happen ever again! Hide out in the bathroom! It would be preferable not to use the main bathroom mind you, because that would be slightly awkward, but try using one that sees less traffic. Grab a blanket or two, a pillow, and some ear plugs. Make sure the tub is dry (you might want to put a towel down just in case), close the curtain, and curl up. You will feel refreshed in no time and no one will disturb you!

A second great use for your bathtubs is for art projects. I do not mean turning your tub into an art piece, but instead using this space for completing art projects. It is the perfect solution for messy kids! Take all the watercolors and paper into the bathroom, put the kids in their bathing suits, and let them paint away. It does not matter if they knock over the paints or spill all over themselves. Everything can be washed down the drain after they are finished! Just hang their masterpieces up to dry and turn on the shower. Your kids and your bathtub will be clean in no time! It is so easy; you will wonder why you never thought of it before.

Now that you know how much more useful your bathroom is, especially if you have a large walk in tub, imagine what your other rooms can do! Start exploring the possibilities!
