subject: READ ON & ON- [print this page] READ ON & ON- READ ON & ON-
Synopsis: Reading is a wonderful habit. It helps us to know a lot of things. Pen pictures drawn enable us to envision and derive satisfaction from books. Reading and imagination go together thus encouraging creativity.
Read on and on and on-
Till satisfaction wells up and fills you,
Till all worries, all anxieties are gone-
Till all and every around seem anew.
Nothing bothers, nothing disturbs you-
No troubles, no strains to stir and stare;
On the face, an experience of a select few,
Who cherish the wonderful feel and care.
It is a world away, yet,
Not so far away, that leads;
And goads the engrossed to get
Set running away from his deeds.
Books and books and books,
So many, yet, numbers so less,
A million, a trillion-countless of them;
Seem too small a collection I confess.
The ecstasy the delight at what
Unfolds and enlightens the psyche-
Oh! The pleasure derived you sought
To receive at the end of the hike!
No it is never too late-
Better late than never, to throw
Away all those habs' and pracs'-
No better time you know- to read and grow!
It's a mech' world today, tomorrow-day after,
No harm to feast your vision and straight
Immerse in those pages filled with sorrow and laughter.
Praiseworthy isn't it so-to possess such a trait?
Read on and on and on
To make the world a far better place
To live in, to die and to be born
A happy being ushering wellbeing at a lovely pace.
