subject: Electronic Audio Amplifier [print this page]

An electronic audio amplifier is a device for the purpose of increasing the power of a signal. It do its job by taking input energy from a power supply and controles the output for the purpose to copy the input signal shape but with increased amplitude. So one can recognize, an amplifier as a device for modulating the output of the power supply. Actually in this era we have loads and loads of technology and methodolgies. To understand this one can say that we have amplifiers of various kinds which are built in varioys technologies and methods. Electronic audio Amplifier is among many varying types of amplifiers. To get this into ones understanding one must know the that why this amplifier is named as,Electronic audio Amplifer. Yes thats true that all the amplifers mostly does the same job but Electronic Amplifier is the specially designed amplifier that works by using various electronic components in which transistors(BJTs , FETs and MOSFETs) are the most prominent ones. Science has given we, the humans an attitude of have logics for the understanding of anything. So the question is why we shifted to electronic amoplifiers, the answer to it is very simple that we wanted to shift to better and cheeply costed results. Electronic audio Amplifiers are more effiecient and low priced because it uses low cost components like capacitors, transistors etc. These days every person from any age group uses electronic audio amplifiers with their giutars, speakers and various other stuffs.

Types of Electronic audio Amplifier:

Electronic audio Amplifiers are specified according to their input and output properties. They have gain or multiplication that relates magnitude of the output signal to the input signal. It may be defined as the ratio of output voltage to input voltage which is technical terms called as Voltage gain.In Electronic audio Amplifiers, there is another term which is Power gaini-e output power to input power or some combination of current, voltage and power. When input and output is in the same units, gain will be unitless (expressed in decibels); for others this is not necessarily so.Like a transconductance amplifier has a gain with units of conductance. In electronic audio amplifiers, the amplifiers power gain depends on the source and load impedances used as well as its voltage gain; whereas RF amplifier may have its impedances set for power transfer, audio and instrumentation amplifiers are normally employed with amplifier input and output impedances optimized for less load and high quality. An amplifier that has a gain of 20 dB might have a voltage gain of ten times and an available power gain of much more than 20 dB (100 times power ratio), thus
