subject: Options For Sauna Lovers And First-time Sauna Users [print this page]

Do you like the idea of getting away from it all in a warm and relaxing sauna? How great would it be just to be able to have that time just to let go, and recharge? Otherwise you may possibly interested to know more about how it may improve your health. Whatever level of experience you have with saunas, you have a lot of choices when it comes to sauna use.

They may look similar, but there are actually two types of saunas. Coals are used to make the steam in the more conventional saunas. To get the sauna steam going, the owner just needs to douse the coals with water. You can typically find a bucket and ladle that comes with them.

The second type of sauna, which is a newer innovation, is the FIR infrared sauna. These types of saunas are so different they don't even need coals. They use infrared light to give off heat. There are panels all along hte inside, and each one helps to heat the sauna, in much the same way the sun heats our planet.

The FIR infrared saunas seem to have a more compelling list of features. One of the problems with the more traditional type is if you open the door, the heat dissipates immediately, but not with this type. Also, it uses less energy and is more hygienic. In fact manufacturers are now making them portable due to their popularity. The best part is that these saunas can be folded up and put away when finished instead of taking up valuable space.

There are many health benefits of saunas. A sauna helps you release toxins through your pours as you perspire. It helps your joints and muscles by soothing them and relaxing them. Even arthritis sufferers with inflammation problems can see long-term benefits. The advantages are just too difficult to pass up.

Just keep in mind if you want to try out new infrared technology with an FIR infrared sauna, the experience will be a little different than the old steam sauna experience. Thats because infrared radiation wont heat up the air, just you so you can enjoy the benefits of sauna without feeling overheated or dehydrated.
