This morning I really couldn't be bothered doing any exercise and I can admit that, even though I"m supposed to be the role model as your Sunshine Coast Personal Trainer !
Well, I was feeling guilty from the long weekend and the wedding thatI went to and over indulged! Isn't it funny how the negative doesn't work to motivate you in theory it should make you work harder! But in reality, well for me atleast it makes me feel like i couldn't possibly run off those hors d'oeuvres if I had a mountain lion chasing after me!
But, after getting to Alex Headlands and seeing the beautiful scenery even though it was a rainy morning, I chucked on my iPod and got cranking on my very own specialised Sunshine Coast Fitness cardio program.
And of course after I warmed up I really got into it! I ran at a solid pace for 10mins then from there to the rock wall I did 30 seconds slow jog (almost a shuffle) 30 seconds jog then 30 seconds at a hard pace. Then when I turned around I repeated that but in reverse order and changed the shuffle to a walk. Time flew past And I'd burnt 600 calories and a good portion of those hors d'oeuvres I reckon .
Now off to my local cafe for breakfast 2 x poached eggs baby spinach tomato and a piece of wholegrain toast for $9 . A pretty decent start to the day all in all!
So whatever you decide to do today to better your health after a long weekend just commit to one small thing and you'll find your healthy habits start to snow ball into the next and those weekend indulgences will be a distant memory!
