Social Media Marketing - Today's Business Growth - (NNOS Studios of Ohio)

Pause. Yessir. Okay go.

Business today is moving so fast that you don't have the time to figure out what you don't know. Newspapers are hobbling on a broken crutch. The phone book has essentially died. The precious painting of a tattered economy lies in everyone's wallet and suggests a dull illusion for your ideal client. Your target market. Or wait...is it you? Ah...now for the beauty of responsibility. A website? Way beyond. A website is little more than a business card or a point of reference.

For most.

There has been a planetary shift in the business universe. Ancient fundamentals have already decayed and old online business strategies are struggling to repair a wooden wheel. Henry Ford said that if he gave people what they wanted, he would've made a faster horse. Classic. Similarly, business owners today find discomfort in using strategies they don't understand. At one point, having a website was the thing, and because you were one of the few that took the chance, you also had all the recognition. Now, not only does everyone have a website, they also have good search engine optimization(seo). This means that the battle for recognition no longer relies on good seo, but seo that is better than the best of the good. But time is moving fast and this is becoming traditional.

Well we're here because we've entered a new era of business marketing: social media. Facebook. Twitter. Linkedin. YouTube. Hordes of similar sites have stolen the public and continue to do so at alarming rates. Over the past few months, it has been reported that 80% of all internet usage in the U.S. is on Facebook, and that the average person goes on 5 times a day for 20 minutes. Billboards? Jokes. If Facebook were a country, it would be the 3rd largest in the world, with a population of over 500 million people. Linkedin is another massive network, totally geared for professionals.

So the fact is evident: business today needs to be using social media. But how? Unfortunately, using it is not simply making a profile and being on it. You need presence. And it moves so fast, you have no time to figure it out. Get people in there who know it. Then you might have a chance. At today's success.

That's the first step.
