Weeds is an American television black comedy dramaseries created by Jenji Kohanand produced by Lionsgate Television, which began airing on the showtimecable television network in 2005. The show revolves around Nancy Botwin , a widowed Southern Californian mother of two boys Silas and the younger, Shane who turned to selling cannabisto support her family after her husband unexpectedly died. Over the course of the show, Nancy becomes involved in illegal activities on an escalating scale.
The sixth season premiered on Monday August 16, 2010 at 10ET/PT on Showtime.
The Botwin family flees north in the wake of Shane's killing of Pilar. Andy joins them after Audra breaks off their relationship. Being unable to cross the Canadian border without the baby's birth certificate, Nancy, Andy, Silas, Shane and Stevie assume new identities as "The Newmans" (as Nathalie, Randy, Mike, Shawn and Avi, respectively) and settle in Seatle.
After her husband's unexpected death and subsequent financial woes, suburban mom Nancy Botwin (Parker) embraces a new profession: the neighborhood pot dealer. Aided by her wayward black-sheep brother-in-law Andy, she struggles to keep her new means of bill-solving secret from her suspicious PTA members and nosy neighbor as well as from her children, Shane and his teenage brother Silas. As the plot continues she struggles to protect the ones she loves.
Synopsis of the Episode:
Nancy faces difficult choices when the Botwins head for the airport and their escape from the country, where Andy attempts to calm the nerves of Shane and Warren, while Silas considers staying behind with Lars.
