Is Ambit Energy a Pyramid Scam?
Is Ambit Energy a Pyramid Scam?

A pyramid SCAM has no product or service and you must "pay to play." You pay to get in and you get paid when you get other people to pay and get in under you. You don't sell a product or service to anyone that doesn't pay for the "privilege." You take the money of the people below you, and they, in turn take the money of the people below them. Ambit Energy has a legitimate product and you don't get paid until you get customers to buy your product, just like any other company in America. Ambit Energy also has an "A" rating with the Better Business Bureau, is licensed in every state that they do business in and are registered with the trade commission of every state they do business in. Every company in the United States is a pyramid of one type or another. You have a CEO in charge of a board of directors. They, in turn, are responsible for the different businesses within the corporation. These business owners are in charge of their managers, who are in charge of the everyday employees that are the backbone of the corporation as a whole. This is a fundamental business structure used across all facets of business. Multi-Level Marketing, or MLM, is no different. Ambit Energy uses the MLM formula as a business model.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission define a pyramid scam on their website as such: "In the classic "pyramid" scheme, participants attempt to make money solely by recruiting new participants into the program. The hallmark of these schemes is the promise of sky-high returns in a short period of time for doing nothing other than handing over your money and getting others to do the same.

The fraudsters behind a pyramid scheme may go to great lengths to make the program look like a legitimate multi-level marketing program. But despite their claims to have legitimate products or services to sell, these fraudsters simply use money coming in from new recruits to pay off early stage investors. But eventually the pyramid will collapse. At some point the schemes get too big, the promoter cannot raise enough money from new investors to pay earlier investors, and many people lose their money. The chart below shows how pyramid schemes can become impossible to sustain."

MLM is a business model, not a scam. Big business spends millions of dollars a year on advertisement, so do MLMs. The difference is, while big business spends millions of dollars a year on billboards and television ads, Network Marketing uses that money to pay normal, every day people to advertise their business through word of mouth and personal recommendations to friends and family. The concepts are the same, but the difference is in where the money ends up. In traditional business, the money ends up in the hands of another large business. In Network Marketing organizations, the money ends up in the pockets of everyday people who have been compensated for providing a service. Ambit Energy is one of these companies. Anyone can join Ambit, and therefore, anyone can be financially successful if they are willing to dedicate the time and effort to their business. This is NOT a get rich quick scheme. One can get rich doing this business, but like any business, you have to dedicate yourself to achieving the success that you are looking for. The deregulation of energy in this country has opened up opportunities that will only happen once and now is the time to let these opportunities work for you. The facts are these:

The Better Business Bureau does not register scam companies

The trade commission does not register scam companies

A scam company would not be rated the #1 fastest growing, privately owned, company in America by INC 500

A scam company has no product or service to sell

So, do your homework, check the facts, and you will see that Ambit Energy is a highly-respected, legitimate company with a high ethical code and a commitment to serving their customers in a professional and responsible manner.
