Sound familiar? Your young daughter has developed a fascination with the ballet; she loves the grace and flair of the ballet dancers and has even asked to come to a local ballet to see them live. Although she is very young, she is naturally gifted when it comes to dancing and has rhythm and poise. As a parent you are delighted that she has discovered a passion so young and you are keen to harness this early enthusiasm and nurture it ensuring a chance of future development.

You really want to get her started as soon as possible and look online for the local dance school and any classes that you think would be suitable, you actually find one at the local primary school and decide that seeing as she will be going there in a year or so it might be a great place to start her off. She'll be able to meet girls her age and make new friends all the while learning a wonderful skill.

She is obviously very excited about this and does not stop talking about it 24/7. You decide that if she is going to start lessons then she will need to get the relevant clothing so she at least looks the part before she gets better and develops her skills. So you look online for your local stockists and make a trip with her into town to have a look at the ballet shoes, tights, leotards and most importantly the tutu. She is very excited about the tutu and loves the way that it floats up around her when she leaps around, performing her newly learned ballet steps. You are full aware that she will be growing at an alarming rate over the next few years and whilst this means that you will have to replace her leotard, tights and ballet shoes on a regular basis.

Luckily the tutu is something that can be bought easily from the internet, meaning that trips to a specialist dance shop need not be frequent. The tutu is, like many dance items, something that you won't need to worry about replacing as you can order a new one from the comfort of your own home. It always a nice feeling when you know that you can save a little money whilst not compromising your daughter's enjoyment of the ballet classes.

In fact you may decide that as the tutu is such a simple piece of clothing you will have a go at making one yourself and invest in some organza to make a start. It is easy to go about downloading a pattern from the internet so you can get to work on the tutu and before long it is starting to come together, much to your daughter fascination and obvious excitement. You now have the scope to decorate it according to her tastes and really personalise the tutu to make it special for her. Of course, you may well decide that making tutus is best left to the experts!

The tutu is a very simple and elegant piece of clothing, allowing the wearer to express themselves freely whilst displaying grace and lift. As a little girl, it represents all things fun about ballet, its light, pink and bouncy, perfect for the budding ballet dancer.
