Today is my birthdayToday is my birthday. A really wonderful day to share happiness and best wishes with others. Just twenty years ago, I was blessed to be born in the hospital. With mom's hard try and my first cry, a little baby crawled to the worlda best place to live in, for the presence of love. After the entrance to university, I began an independent life apart from parents. That means, every birthday since then was spent with my dearest relatives absent. But, it just couldn't steal anything from me, since I have roommates, those lovely and affectionate peers sharing the same room with me. I hold so much gratitude towards them. Even though we major in different things, set different agendas and enjoy spare time respectively, whenever it comes to a birth date of one of us, we will spend a whole day together, regardless of the odds we have to deal with.

Today is no exception. The fact is, since last weekend, we haven't talked too much together, for we are all preparing for the coming examination. However, beyond my expectation, the silence is broken by the warm and heartfelt gift I receive in the morning. They all give me a tight hug and wish me happy birthday, which I suppose is enough for a plain acquaintance. However, the bigger surprise is still to come. When I open the door in response to their request on a phone call, my eyes are suddenly stung by the UGG boots in front of me. Later on, I learn that the boots are arranged long before my birthday. Considering the surprising effect, they keep it a secret until the time is ripe. I believe they should have reached their expectation, because I'm indeed attached to the moving scene and the gift. Now, winter is setting in. Thanks to the boots, I feel much warmer in frozen weather. They feel as gentle as my roommates' love for me, which is so soft that sometimes I almost overlook it in busy times. But, I affirm that however much time we keep in touch in a year, as long as a great moment is remembered by all of us, we will have much more to share.
