subject: The Gift Of Personality [print this page] The Gift of Personality The Gift of Personality
Each one of us has a psychological makeup which is unique only to us. God has given every single person on this earth a unique personality which fits in his overall plan just like the rainbows mosaic of colors. Each one of us is characterized by our own temperament, disposition, body type and size, mental abilities, and so on and so forth. All of these things combine to make you different from every other individual in the earth. God has woven all of our personal qualities into the fine mosaic which is the world as we know it. His original plan was for all of these characteristics to work together in a perfect plan.
You need to know what special talent that God has given you and how you are to use it for the benefit of all. What is it that you like to do? What are the activities which bring you joy? Your uniqueness is a gift to the world, not only to you. Learn how to take what God has given you and use it to its fullest. If you do you will unlock true satisfaction in your life. Doing what you love to the fullest is what will give you satisfaction in life. I like to use the expression that we are to play the hand that we have been dealt. God have given you some cards. They may not all be high cards but there is a way to use them in the game of life and win. Dont worry about the other persons hand because it will do you no good. All that you can do is to play the hand that you have been dealt.
You dont have to try to emulate other people. If you use your talents to the fullest they will be tempted to emulate you. I guarantee that there are things that you can do that no one else can do quite as well. You need to find those niches in your character makeup which make you better.
When God made all things he said that they are good. We should try to look at ourselves through the eyes of God and not the way that man sees us. Gods thoughts are more important with mans. If you line your thoughts up with God you wont have low self esteem. You wont be intimidated by people.
We are all on a level playing field although many may not agree with me. Some for example would say that the rich kid who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth may have never had the hardships that you have. This is true but that rich kid has also missed out on the character development that you got from being in the hardship. You may have had a tough time in life but those tough times made you tough. You are better off because of what you have been through therefore you have an advantage over the rich kid. His money will never buy what you have. Learn to see the good in the bad. There is something good in each and every situation but we have to discern what it is.
Even racism can be used to your advantage. When you meet a racist you meet a shallow person who has a preconceived notion about you. That person will never change his opinion no matter what you do. Because he or she is so shallow you have the advantage in each encounter that you will ever have with that person. Learn how to manipulate the situation to use that persons own biased convictions against them.
Always remember this. People who judge you on the basis of your outward appearance are not worth your friendship at all because they are looking for something about you that they will benefit from. People who truly love you will love the intangible things that you bring to the table. Riceland Enterprises
