Public transportation is one option. Cabs, taxis, the Tube, tram and rentals are others.

For those who flying into the country or various cities via airplane, it may be a good idea to taxi Salisbury to Gatwick. This is often necessary when a person is not able to get someone to pick them up from the airport. However, even if they choose this mode of transportation, they can still use public transport to get around the city if they are concerned about cost, as this way of traveling about is especially beneficial for those looking to save money. Below, we will take a look at the various modes of transportation, specifically the advantages and disadvantages of each.

Public Transport: As in most countries, this form of getting around is typically the cheapest. Public buses and Tube, typically costs fairly little, which is the biggest advantage of each. There are however, also disadvantages. Individuals that dont know where they are going may find it difficult to navigate the city this way. Typically, they will only have a map to rely on. Persons that struggle with directions and map reading might find this tough. A person will need to be honest with themselves before choosing this way of touring or traveling through whatever city or area they are visiting. Its not for everyone.

Taxis: This is a very good way to travel about on ones trip to the United Kingdom. A person only has to tell the driver where they are going, sit back and hopefully enjoy the ride. The driver knows (or should know) where the client needs to go and can get them their, most often without any input from the customer. The biggest drawback to taking a taxi is that it can get expensive, especially if a person needs one everyday and is planning on taking multiple trips throughout each day.

Rentals: Renting a vehicle is another option and it can potentially be a good one. Hiring a car gives individuals complete freedom. They dont have to call a cab or wait until a bus arrives. Instead, they can get up and go when and wherever they want to. The only problem, for some people at least, might be price. Depending on what type of car a person rents, how many kilometers they plan on driving and how long they have it, it can get pretty expensive.

If you need to get around London, consider the aforementioned modes of transportation, public, taxi and rentals. Each has its advantages and disadvantages.
