In recent days we have had the opportunity to meet the financial performance of many large companies the gaming industry. Now comes the Korean publisher NCsoft, who in spite of the decrease in revenues was able to increase profits.
The previous year was extremely successful and the company each quarter brought news of the double-digit increases in revenues and profits for the game of cheap swtor credits, mainly due to the huge popularity of the game Aion. This year is no longer quite as successful, but rather, the publisher has no more reason to complain.
In the period from early July to late September NCsoft was able to develop a revenue of 139 million dollars, which represents a decrease of 6% compared to the same period last year. Gains, however, totaled 42.6 million dollars, or about 1% more than last year. The main culprit is a little weaker results flagging popularity of Lineage series. In addition, the publisher has increased employment, and the result was of course higher costs of doing business.
Aion is the most profitable business venture. The game made its debut in South Korea in 2008, a year later it was published in the United States and Europe. In the period from early July to late September this year, Aion has provided 44% of the entire revenue of the company. The first part of the Lineage accounted for 28% of generated income, and Lineage II for 20%. The remaining 8% accounted for while the other titles, including City of Heroes / City of Villains and Guild Wars.
NCsoft ensure continuous development of its most popular production. Two months ago, released a powerful extension to Aion titled Assault on Balaurea. It allows players to conduct a counteroffensive against the men Balaur and take part in the invasion of their territory. Addition of course, introduced a bunch of new locations, weapons, items and skills. Also increased the limit level of experience.
