I found this speaker and I have high hopes for such a cheap speaker system. Wow, it was my fault. These speakers are just great, if you put the volume really something else. The bass is fantastic, only makes the system stronger and better. The speakers themselves are great, the sound is sweet, but strong and clear.

Too much unadjustable bass.
Having neighbors and roommates, I could never see myself using these speakers and sub. The bass is extremely boomy and the speakers don't cut through the low rumble. I've had a few 2.1 and 5.1 systems in the past, and this one is certainly the worst as far as sound quality. Things MIGHT be better if the bass on this was adjustable, but it's not. You're stuck with however loud the sub wants to be, nevermind what the speakers are doing.

Recently purchased these speakers to fill out my dorm room at college and it was performing well but it wasn't until I got home and was able to turn the speakers to the max that I truly began to appreciate the speakers. These speakers definitely fill up my room and potentially my whole 2 story house. On most songs there is a clear presence of both bass and treble, unlike the systems some of my friends have the bass does not drown out the treble on my songs. I listen to a lot of Hip-Hop (a genre that uses a lot of bass) so its good to see speakers that won't be over powered by the subwoofer. I would definitely recommend these speakers to a friend or anyone looking for some good quality cheap speakers.

Left speaker blew out in 2 weeks of normal, low-volume use. Very poor quality. The design of the remote control is stupid -- had to tape it to the desk to keep it from falling off the back. Sound was bleh even before the speaker broke. Don't waste your money on these guys.
