Social media websites such as Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, FourSquare, and countless others have literally changed the way that many people do business online. It used to be that in order to succeed online you had to be ranked highly in the search engines, or create a brand for yourself offline that could translate online. However, with the social media influence of today people are constantly networking, and making a fortune in the process.

With that said, how can internet marketers take advantage of twitter, and establish a brand for themselves that literally sells itself? In this article I am going to share with you 3 techniques that you can use to turn Twitter into your personal ATM machine!

1. In order for your social media influence to be meaningful to others, you need to get involved in the conversation. If you are joining twitter simply to sell, sell, and sell some more then you are not going to last very long. Share other insightful articles that you read, or videos that you watch. Pushing your own content all of the time is not a good idea, because your followers will see right through it. Just like with any marketing channel you must focus on creating value for the end user. Once you create value, then you can sell your products or services.

2. Network with other Twitter users. In order to cash in with Twitter, you must network with people who has a massive following within your niche market. I know there are several people within the internet marketing niche that have over 100,000 followers! Now, this may not be quite as targeted as having your own email list, but it is still a massive amount of people to broadcast your product or service to. Imagine broadcasting your offer to 100,000 people. Let's say that only 5% check out the Tweet, which would still mean that 5,000 people are seeing your sales or opt-in page. Now, if that traffic converts at just 1%, you have made 50 sales! This is exactly how Social media can have a massive influence on your business!

3. Build your own list of loyal followers. Find someone within your niche that is well respected, and has a lot of followers. Next, simply follow 30-40 people a day. Most of these people will follow you back, meaning that you will then have a massive Twitter following after just a few short months. People are using social media influence to build entire businesses, and while I never advise anyone to put all of their eggs in one basket, Twitter is without a doubt a great resource for your business.

Now it's time to use social media influence to drive a ton of traffic to your website and increase your sales exponentially!
