subject: The Mayan Underworlds [print this page] The Mayan Underworlds The Mayan Underworlds
We are currently just past the midpoint of the 6th night of the Galactic Underworld of the Mayan Calendar. The Galactic Underworld started on December 31, 1999 and will end October 28, 2011 (not December 21, 2012 as is commonly in the press. Visit Carl Johan Calleman'ssiteto read why) Things are moving faster than they ever have before, and there is a reason for that. Things will also move even faster once we reach Feb. 11, 2011.
The Mayan Calendar is a formula that explains the progression of time, evolution and consciousness. It is composed of cycles, ranging from billions of years (16.4 billion to be exact) to 260 days. The cycles layer on top of each other, much like the layers of the pyramids found where the Mayans lived in South America. There are nine major cycles and they are called Underworlds:
The bottom layer, called the Cellular Underworld, started 16.4 billion years ago with the "Big Bang" and ends on October 28, 2011.
The next layer, the Mammalian Underworld, started 820 million years ago with the first animals and ends on October 28, 2011.
The next layer, the Familial Underworld, started 41 million years ago with the first mammals, and ends on October 28, 2011.
The next layer, the Tribal Underworld, started 2 million years ago with the first humans and ends on October 28, 2011.
The next layer, the Regional Underworld, started 102,000 years ago with the first spoken language and ends on October 28, 2011.
The next layer, the National Underworld, started 5,125 years ago with the first written language and ends on October 28, 2011.
The next layer, the Planetary Underworld, started 256 years ago with the start of industrialization and ends on October 28, 2011.
The next layer, the Galactic Underworld, started January 5, 1999 and ends on October 28, 2011.
The final layer, the Universal Underworld, starts February 11, 2011 and ends on October 28, 2011.
So currently, we are experiencing eight of the 9 Underworlds/cycles, each one moving progressively faster and faster. What once took 16.4 billion years is now taking 12.8 years. No wonder we feel so rushed with not enough time!
At the beginning of this post, I mentioned the "6th night". Continue on to my next post, for an explanation of the days and nights. I am trying to keep each section relatively short and sweet so there's not too much information to digest at once. :)
