Any robes or slippers should be hung on the wall when not being worn. A large fluffy robe and a big pair of comfortable slippers are sure to help you relax, as both are very much part of the whole spa experience. It's just a small touch, however it can really help to get you in the mood and make you feel like you are in a real spa.
No spa is complete without large fluffy towels. If you are serious about giving your bathroom a spa feel then make sure that you get rid of all your old thin towels. PUrchase at least two new towels to pamper yourself with and buy oversized towels that you can wrap your entire body in rather than the smaller normal towels that will just about wrap round your head.
If your bathroom is large enough then you may wish to add a small water feature to your bathroom. An indoor water fountain, waterfall or other type of feature can add a serene atmospher. You may also wish to purchase a small stereo to add some calming music to help you relax. If you don't have space on the floor then place the stereo/radio in a cabinet on the wall.
Grow plants in your bathroom where possible and in particular look for plants that can take the high humidity and available light. If you find that you do not have enough natural light to grow a love plant then this can be remedied by instead purchasing plastic ferns.
