Cats' Claw
I would like to share with you my experience using Cat's Claw.
At one time I suffered from pain in my back. I was very upset because I believed that I was much too young to have back pain. The pain seemed to start when I leaned over one day to get something. The next day when I woke up it was worst. I had a gift coupon for a massage and I thought this should help so I went to get a massage and when I left there I was in worst pain than before.
I decided to go to the Doctor and they gave me some muscle relaxers which literally did nothing for me. For the most part I believe in holistic treatments but feeling back pain was different from having a cold, an upset stomach or any other temporary disease. I was very concerned when those pills did not do anything - especially when I don't like taking medicine in the first place. My mind was racing with all kinds of negative thoughts. What if I have to suffer all of my life with this pain? What if they say I need to have some kind of surgery?
I finally prayed for an answer and I found it. Now you may say what does this have to do with Cat's Claw? Well I'm getting there - please be a little more patient. I'm long winded I guess even when I'm writing. LOL!
So anyway, I happened to be going through the grocery store on my lunch hour one day and there was a man in there offering a free service offering x-rays of your back. Now normally I would have ignored this man, in fact I probably wouldn't have even noticed him at all. Somehow he seemed to have jumped out at me where I was forced to pay attention. This is what I call the "Law of Attraction" at work. Now since I just prayed for an answer I thought I'd better stop and listen to what he had to say. Well he was an actual chiropractor who wanted to increase his business obviously, and I wanted to say forget it because what I had heard about these guys with all kinds of horror stories. Like, all they want to do is perform unnecessary surgery so they can make big bucks. Or after surgery people were still in severe pain. However, I remembered that I had prayed for an answer and I was not going to be stupid if this is what God was offering me. Plus, I always went with my gut feelings and my gut was telling me to take heed. So I agreed to make an appointment.
Well when I got there he took the x-ray of my back and showed me how crooked I was or should I say lopsided, and that is what was causing my pain. Anyway I was surprised to see this and that worried me even more. He went on to explain that all I needed was a few adjustments and I would eventually be straightened out, but if I did not get the treatments my back pain would come and go and also I would probably develop a hump back. Now based on the x-rays I could see this was a possibility. He told me he did not believe in surgery and his job was to correct the imbalance. I also discovered that I had slight arthritis in my right shoulder. He showed me how it looked on the x-ray. I advised him that it was not bothering me and he said that was good but it's possible later on it will become bothersome if not painful but for now it's nothing to worry about.
I had the treatments and I was amazed how simple it was to put me back in position and my back pain went away. He made me stop carrying a large heavy purse because that was part of what caused my issue, that and the fact that I wore high heels since I was a teenager.
I was very thankful to God and this man. Okay, okay here is where I tell you about how the Cat's Claw affected me.
Remember the arthritis the chiropractor showed me on the x-ray? Well 18 months later it started bothering me. The first time I noticed I reached behind me to get something and I felt pain in my right shoulder. I didn't think much of it at first. I thought I had slept on it wrong or something. Then I started noticing it more often and it was more severe pain. I would only feel it if I reached backwards. I would be driving and have to reach in the back seat for some papers related to work and then I would feel the excruciating pain. Therefore I knew that I better not reach back anymore. So, for about a month or so I stopped reaching backwards until I forgot again and oh boy there was that terrible pain! I finally remembered that the chiropractor said I had arthritis in my shoulder. So I started to research what holistic methods would help me and I found an article on arthritis and natural healing. In the article it talked about Cat's Claw and its benefits to people suffering from arthritis. Now I knew that this herb was known for helping to prevent and even heal cancer - but I had no idea that it worked for arthritis. In fact I found out it helps almost every dis-ease there is!
I finally went to Wholefoods and purchased some Cat's Claw and started taking it. Since it was supposed to help prevent so many dis-eases I felt that it would not hurt to take it. I believe that I had been taking it about 3 weeks or so, and I had a reason to reach in my backseat again. As soon as I went to reach I remembered that I should not be doing this because of the pain I was going to feel but it was too late I had already threw my arm back to get some papers off the back seat. But to my amazement there was no pain. Boy was I relieved! I went about my day and I didn't even think about the fact that it was unusual that I had no pain. Then a few days later I forgot again and was reaching back for something in my backseat and again before I realized I was holding my breath for the pain to come. Well again there was no pain! Now that got me to thinking why didn't I have the pain? I got home and I started reaching up and down and swinging my arm back and forth and round and round and there was not even a slight hint of any pain. Ah! Ha! I remembered the Cat's Claw that I was taking. There were other benefits to me by taking this herb that I won't go into now and that's why I kept taking it. But I had forgotten the reason I started taking it was because of the arthritis. I also noticed that the slight pain in my leg was also gone. That really never bothered me much but I knew it was there before I started taking the Cat's Claw and then the pain was completely gone!
So to sum it all up - I have to say that it was the Cat's Claw that healed me from this arthritis pain. It would be interesting to go back and get another x-ray done of my shoulder to see if the arthritis is still showing up!
What is Cat's Claw?
Cat's Claw is a tropical vine that grows in rainforest and jungle areas in South America and Asia. Some cultures refer to the plant as the "Sacred Herb of the Rain Forest".
This vine gets its name from the small thorns at the base of the leaves, which looks like a cat's claw. These enable the vine to attach itself around trees climbing to heights up to 100 feet.
The plant is considered a valuable medicinal resource and is protected in Peru. Although scientific research has just recently begun to explore its benefits, many cultures native to the South American rain forest areas have used this herb for hundreds of years.
