subject: What Are Panic Attack? [print this page]

You'll hear comments like; I felt like I couldn't leave the house, I'd get really dizzy and feel I was going to pass out, I couldn't eat, I couldn't sleep, I thought I was going to die, I felt like I had no control over anything. These are very real and deeply upsetting feelings, they are frightening and can stop you living your life and enjoying the things you love. People turn to medication knowing, almost before they do it that it can't be the answer as it's only masking the real feelings and not addressing the problem. Once you've had an anxiety attack your body and brain "stores" that experience and remembers it. You've learned to treat the feelings as a threat and so when you get in a similar situation it recalls that feeling and you feel threatened again. Your heart starts pumping, your palms get sweaty and adrenaline surges through your body causing more of the horrible sensations you've come to know.

It is very important to diagnose the condition properly so that the proper treatment will be given to the person suffering from the disorder. The individual needs to be diagnosed with the specific type of dipolar disorder so he can have the right medication and therapy. There are many types of manic-depressive diseases and the two common types are Bipolar I and II. The first step in effectively shutting off panic attacks is by having a basic understanding of it. Make an effort to find out what triggers these types of attacks, each person who suffers panic disorders have varying reasons for it. So in order to understand your anxiety attacks, you'll have to take note when it happens and make a conscious effort to remember and understand it.

Panic attacks are horrible! your heart beat speeds up, your chest gets tight, you start sweating uncontrollably and you feel almost frozen with fear and panic. Many people over the years have suffered from panic attacks and anxiety symptoms which can have a dramatic effect on your ability to carry out tasks that most people don't even think about. in extreme cases, sufferers can barely get out of bed and are so fearful of certain situations that they will avoid them at all costs. Most women could overcome such depression within four to six months even without any treatment from the experts. But it must also be a consideration that one out of four mothers with PND are still depressed even when their child is getting older. This could mean a lot of suffering. It can obviously spoil the experience of new motherhood. Mothers could damage her relationship with her baby as well as with her husband.

A lesser known characteristic is the way in which a bipolar disorder can affect an individual's energy and thinking levels and how they can be dramatically altered by this illness. These polar "swings" can be very sudden and unexpected which makes it very difficult for the patient and the patient's family and friends to deal with. Seriously I did not want to be scummed and then end up having lost my money and with a useless product on my hands. But I started considering how I have been trusting doctors buying the medications they have been giving me, they did not know if they were going to work and I didn't either but I was hopeful that they will help me.
