Jersey, has many great attributes, which appeal to the holiday makers that visit the island year after year.
There is plenty to do in Jersey, and plenty of good restaurants, but where can I stay? If you are looking for mid-price budget accommodation in Jersey, nowhere stands out quite like Harbour View Guest House. It has a charming friendly and relaxed atmosphere, great views, a bistro restaurant and is family owned and run.
Set back from the road, overlooking St Aubin's harbour and bay, its quirky front terrace has a homemade air, with its jumble of palm trees, umbrellas, decking, clay pots, painted signs and street lamps. It makes you smile as you arrive, as does the welcome received from the owner Kelly Keadell.
Kelly's parents ran the guesthouse before her. She took over at an early age, gradually upgrading the handsome old house over time. There's more work being undertaken, with the refurbishment of the dining area just being completed.
The 16 bedrooms are being upgraded and offer great comfort and cleanliness. The bedrooms, offer good bedroom furniture and lamps, cream walls, attractive wooden Venetian blinds, patterned duvet cover, wicker armchair
During this winter the Harbour View guest house has also had an extensive refurbishment. The original restaurant was recently converted into a gorgeous suite sleeping 4 and now the renovation of the interior breakfast room is complete. This has made it lighter and airy, and provides a bigger better breakfast buffet. This is also a great communal room for guests to relax and free wifi is also available, and coffee on the go all day.
The Harbour View guest house is now a 4 star AA and a 4 star quality with Jersey Tourism. This latest improvements are work in progress, with the last renovation being done 22 years ago and before that 1709! The plan also includes a new roof and updating the bedrooms to the same standard as the suites. The vine outside the building is budding so looks like summer is slowly on its way, Kelly the owner is looking forward to a great new season and greeting all returning a new guests.
Due to demand the Harbour View has now decided to stay open longer and is offering autumn & winter breaks.
