I needed a DVD player running on 110V and 220V. I searched on Google and was directed to this product. I bought it and then realized that it does NOT run on 220V. The 220V are only part of the model number - one of the most stupidly chosen model numbers. In addition, what device in these days still runs only on 110V??? A dinosaur. Now I have to go through the cumbersome process of returning the product and buying another one.

I brought this DVD player after reading all the good reviews but no one wrote about the USB port supporting the portable hard disk....but i decided to go for this DVD player.
When i get this DVD player i directly tried to play the movies from my portable Western Digital 320GB hard disk(FAT32) and for my surprise it recognized my hard disk and played AVI file movies which i downloaded.
I liked this DVD player a lot the video quality is good,supports external hard disk,it played my scratched DVD....thats more then enough for me :)
Fantastic all-region DVD player!
I have several region "0" DVDs which will NOT play on my older Toshiba DVD player plus a few region 2 which won't. After reading the reviews on this product I purchased it from World Wide Distributors. It arrived in 2 days complete with an HDMI cable (you DON'T need to buy it separately if purchasing from this company) which is of no use to me as I have a SONY WEGA TV, before HD days. Simply pluggged the included red-white-yellow leads into the player and the TV, powered it up, and immediately without any adjusting it played a region 0 which would not play on the Toshiba player, a region 1 of course played fine, and then a region 2 played as well. A friend has a recent model player from another company, much more expensive, in which you must enter a variety of codes to make it play the various regions. Not so with the Pioneer - insert the DVD and the player figures out what to do to make it play. What more could you ask for in this price range! Fantastic, highly recommended!

Good Player
Very nice, accesses and seeks divx discs a lot faster than my Philips player did. Love the USB port.
The one thing about it is that the remote is exactly the same shape on both ends, makes it hard to use in darkly lit rooms always trying to press buttons on the wrong end.

I found a wonderful website on the internet to purchase American movies released on Dvd in Italy to help me learn Italian. The Dvd's arrived promptly but unfortunately I was not able to view them on my Sony Blu-Ray Dvd Player. Based upon the 5 star reviews for this region-free DVD player I purchased it and I was thrilled to be able to watch the Dvd's that I purchased in Italy. It is very light and I have it right on top of my Sony Blu-Ray. With the HDMI cable (purchased separately) the quality is superb.
great DVD player
This DVD player works great. The vendor shipped the package promptly. The player has at least three settings for HDMI output, all of which look great on my Samsung flat panel. The upconverter on the player makes CDs sound good. The player has no problems playing DVDs I bought in India, Poland, or the U.S. I haven't tried the feature to rip CDs to a thumb drive.
