subject: The New Series Of Led Tvs Light Up Our Living Rooms [print this page]

A common complaint that was made about the main TV set in our homes in the past was how big and bulky these TVs used to be, the TV stands they sat on had to be almost industrial grade to ensure they didnt collapse under the weight of these TV sets. But with flat screen Plasma and LCD TVs the televisions in our homes were now flatter and lightweight enough to be mounted on the wall.

In recent times there have even been newer models that can be even slimmer, in many cases under an inch in depth, and this has mainly been due to the introduction of LED TV sets that use the smaller and more space saving Light Emitting Diodes when they need to light their screens. These LED televisions can be located at the side of the screen to make sure that the set is uniformly thin and even the thickest LED TVs are still a fraction of the size and weight of many Plasma and LCD TVs that are backlit by cathode ray tubes.

The other benefit for using an LED TV is how they are more efficient as well as performing much better at producing a clear and vibrant picture. LEDs are a stronger light source as many people have found with LED torches that are now available, so with these brighter elements your TV picture is going to be much brighter and with them acting individually some TV sets are able to dynamically control LEDs throughout the screen so they can be darkened in some areas but brighter in others.

This means that black areas in the picture will be much truer as the backlight is lessened in that part of the screen whilst in other areas the lights are still on and make sure you get the best viewing experience. These TVs are becoming more and more popular as other specifications such as the screen size take a back seat to these features and people who are looking for a better quality of picture rather than the largest one they can afford.

LED TV sets also are able to update the image quicker than others, making these TVs perfect for sports and fast motion images in movies. With a quicker refresh rate movements are going to be more fluid and natural helping to get you immersed in whatever game you are playing or movie you are watching.
