subject: Where Can I Find Information About The Nearest Airport? [print this page]

Information about your nearest airport is not always easier to find. But go onto the web and you should be able to discover everything you need to know about where the nearest airport is.

When you're in a city that you don't know very well and you want to take a plane out of there, it's sometimes hard to know which of a city's airport you should fly from and which airport is the best option. The airport that is closest is usually your best bet but how to find that information? Your best bet is to head to Google and search the terms related to flying and type the name of the city in which you are in followed by the word airport. You will then likely be confronted with a list of the official website of the city's airport. After you've chosen which airport you want to fly from you'll then be able to book flights from Miami to Nassau for example and you'll know exactly which airport you'll need to go to.

There's nothing more embarrassing or frustrating than turning up to a small airfield and asking where flights from Chicago to Omaha depart from. It's quite simply and easy mistake to make which is why you need to find the information about the nearest airport before you leave.

You don't have to rely on the Internet if you don't have the skills to find out which airport is closest. Whether you've flying domestically or internationally you likely be able to call a public information or tourist information phone line and find the best airport for flights from Oakland to Lihue. It's not easy to find what the nearest airport is but another method is to simply log on to Google Maps and see the physical location of each of the cities airports and decide based on that.
