Please note that this is not a drink.Don't let the color fool you.

Compost tea is even better than plain old compost in gardening. As the name implies, it is made by steeping compost in water. Compost tea can be sprayed on the leaves to suppress diseases and increases the amount of nutrients available to the plant.

When you make worm tea, please abide by the following instructions.

Look at the compost to see if it is usable. You can even use stuff that is not completely composted. Just take a handful and out of the pile.

Fill this compost in a bag made from cloth. The bag should not be too large. You need to be able to carry it without difficulty.

Place the bag in a bigger container and leave it for up to three days.

When the water turns dark brown, add more water so that the color lightens to appear like regular tea. Use this mixture for plants.

If you desire, you can get an aquarium pump to provide aeration.

The same compost bag can be used several times over. Stop using the bag when the water is no longer a dark brown color as there are no more nutrients.

Note that this compost tea can be used for watering both indoor and outdoor plants.
