Common Web Design Mistakes by Web Designers

Designing a website is the most challenging task. While designing a website, Designers should take care of their users needs. Web pages should be interactive, creative so that visitors can easily be satisfied rather than frustrate and annoy them. Web developers and designers make many mistakes while designing a website. Some of them are:

1)Unorganized Content

Content is most important element for any website. As quality content leads to traffic generation. But most of web designers just put a block of text on the web page and totally neglect heading, sub-headings, bullets, keywords etc. Inaccurate, inaccessible, out-of date content on your website degrade your website or ranked lower in Google rankings. So it's better to have an organized content and become a leading website.

2)Avoid complex URL structures

URL structures should not be complicated. To improve your search engine rankings your URL structures should be simple and keyword based as it makes easier for your reader to identify the content of your pages before visiting them.

3)Fixed Font Size

When you use CSS style sheets for making websites, unfortunately web browser's "change font size" button is disabled and fixed font size is specified. Most of the time, this fixed size is tiny, reducing readability for most people over the age of 40. So it's better to give Resize Text facility as with this facility user can resize the text whenever needed.

4)No Background Music

As user want a rich content and efficiency on your website. Most of the designers put different music background on every web page but most of the users don't like music and visitors leave the page as soon as possible.

5)Inconsistent Interface Design

Excessive of everything is bad similarly excessive creativity on website by creating different designs for every web page within a webpage is also bad, as it annoy and confuse the user. So, it is better to have a standard consistent template for every page.

6)Long Registration Forms

Avoid creating long registration forms. The purpose of a registration system is to identify each user. So, keep the registration form short so that user can easily sign up and take the information which is needed.
