It was really annoying when I realized my PC was infected by a virus called Security Inspector 2010 which created fake message to scare me that my PC was infected. If I needed to get rid of the viruses, I had to purchase a license key to activate the product. Fortunately I figured out that it was a scareware and I tried the following removal methods provided on Google first:
1) I booted my PC into Safe Mode with networking and the steps were: Restart my computer. -> As my computer restarted but before Windows launches, tapped "F8" key constantly. -> Used the arrow keys to highlight the "Safe Mode with Networking" option and then pressed ENTER.
2) Then I Installed Malware-bytes Antimalware to my infected and performed a full scan. Malwares-bytes Antimalware did catch tons of infected files.
3) After Malware-bytes finished its work, I restarted my PC and entered into Normal Mode again.
4) Sadly, the stubborn Malware-bytes Antimalware would not go way on my PC totally. I still got pop-ups and my web browser was still hijacked by the virus which kept me going to the web site that tried to rid off money.
5) I would not be conquered by the virus so I constantly tried other security software- Spyware Doctor, Spybot Search &Destroy, AVG and SUPERAntiSpyware; all my efforts availed me nothing later.
I felt tired after struggling with fighting against to the evil Security Inspector 2010 virus for almost 5 hours without any possible progress...A thought ran through my mind suddenly: maybe using tools only would not help me to get rid of Security Inspector 2010 completely and I had to find manual removal method.
Manual removal method worked for me finally: I followed guides on TeeSupport's Virus Removal After I manually deleted some infected registry keys and files provided on the guides, Security Inspector 2010 was gone from my PC totally. Cheers!
