A plunger is a device or a tool that is used for clearing clogged drains and toilets. It consists of a rubber suction cup that is attached to a large handle and is quite a handy tool when battling clogged and backlogged drains and toilets. When I was a young kid, I used to wonder at how the plunger works.
I wondered how its rubber suction can suck whatever is blocking the sewerage system. However, there was a time that our household experienced a very bad case of backlogged toilet. It was so bad that I resented seeing the plunger for it means a very arduous battle with the toilet. It lasted for weeks and it seemed that every time you use the bathroom, you need to get yourself ready to use the plunger and face the consequences that come with trying to flush a clogged toilet.
There was this disgusting smell that you had to endure and the lots of water that you need to patiently pour in order to flush successfully. Until came the day that a plumber came to the house and removed the thing that was causing the blockage.
That was my first experience with a clogged and backlogging toilet. It wasn't a pleasant experience so after that our household enforced strict rules on things that we should not flush in the toilet.
However, it is hard to prevent that problem in other restrooms especially the public ones because there are people who still flush things like sanitary napkins when it is a common fact that those things are not supposed to be there. To remedy this situation and to help solve the problem of the clogged and backlogged toilet, the macerator toilet was invented.
The macerator toilet is the latest innovation to the regular toilet. It basically looks the same but it has this grind box attached to it that dissects the waste into tinier pieces turning it into a liquidated form that is easier to flush and pass through sewerage systems. Because the waste turns liquid, it flows easily through the sewerage systems and the toilet is prevented from getting clogged and accumulating backlog.
The macerator toilet is also easy to install since you wouldn't need all the complicated masonry work. The macerator empties out directly through the septic tank so everything flows smoothly and you can even create a utility bathroom. So say goodbye to the plunger and say hello to the macerator toilet now.
