Internet traffic is the amount of people that visit a website. The number of hits a website generates. This information determines popularity and momentum. The traffic for a website could be further segmented by location, behavioural patterns, and even the use of browser interface. The information is powerful! Traffic is essential for websites that rely on sales. In fact, traffic is the main determinant for sales produced by online companies. Its in the best interest for such companies to conduct online marketing.
Online traffic can be redirected in many ways. Companies will use other webpages to promote their product or service, such webpages will have direct links to the main website. Extracting such webpages helps create better exposure and makes it easy for search engines (like google) to find information. "Feeder sites" help build on promotions and can link the user to the main website. Information on "feeder websites" can have articles, videos, general posts, etc. There should be enough text, and relevant information to have the web page become search engine friendly.
