Team Fortress 2 Offensive Players Strengths And Weaknesses On Clan Servers

Offensive classes are the folks that go face to face with the defensive side of the opposition. A Garrys mod server will give you full access to modify the physics with these characters. The scout has the scatter gun as the primary weapon. He is backed up with a pistol as the secondary weapon. His melee weapon is the baseball bat. Just like in the original Team Fortress Classic, the scout is still top in the speed ranks, and has the double jump ability. This all results in quick and fast captures and assaults, and when armed with the scatter gun then a lot of damage can be done at close range. However he has the least amount of health of all the classes and so can be taken down easily by most other classes. The scout's primary role is to capture flags and control points. Because he has speed behind him he is in and out with flags in no time and when on control point type maps he acts like two people. With him being the hare rather than the snail he is always fast approaching you! The soldier has a primary weapon of a rocket launcher. The secondary weapon is a shotgun. Finally, his melee weapon is the shovel. The core player in the general assault unit, the soldier is probably the most common class and is also one of the simplest to understand, but this does not mean he is weak. Being quick and armed with a rocket launcher plus the generous amount of health makes them versatile for defending as well as the attack. This makes him a quick pick and play class and so is normally the choice for new gamers to play. He has the unique skill of the rocket jump where he can fire a rocket into the ground whilst jumping and this launches them in to the sky, although does use some health. Once you have perfected this skill you can pop up in the most unexpected places and start the attack before you are attacked. The soldier also has a great pairing with a medic if you don't have a heavy around. The soldier is for the 'do anything go anywhere' type person on Team Fortress 2 hosting. Finally the pyro has been given a flame-thrower as a primary weapon. The kind of cool weapon you don't get on a CS Source Server. He has a shotgun as the secondary weapon. The pyro will set fire to players who are close enough and inflict a lot of damage over time through burning. The pyro hasn't got much in the way of range and so must rely on ambushing people who are off guard. The pyro is also great for finding setting fire to spies who are cloaked or disguised as this very quickly flushes them out. Despite being in the offensive he also plays a good role in defence, as he can quickly confuse incoming attackers. This makes defending a sentry or a group of sentries from spies easy, and allows the snipers to get on with their job without coming to any harm. A skilled pyro also has a deflection ability allowing sending projectiles flying back in the direction they came from and also can help clear patches of the deadly sticky bombs. If you like the smell of burning in the air, then a pyro is a must for you!
