Recently I was talking to one of my girlfriends and she was complaining about her husband not having interest in sex. I was really shocked by that, I did not think that was possible. So I talked to several other ladies with the same problem, and I also talked to men about why they have no interest in sex. Here are a handful of reasons that I came across.
1. The man has lost all attraction to their spouse. From what I understand attraction is not all about looks it also has to do a lot with women complaining too much. Complaining or as the men call it "bitching" is a major turn off.
2. Stress is a huge factor for a lot of men right now. The economy not doing so well, and with debt on the rise. Men have a lot of pressure on them.
3. Depression is another reason that men's sex drive can take a fall. There are a lot of other symptoms of depression but that is one possible symptom.
4. Next factor is they could be having an affair. It is the old saying "if they are not getting if from you, they are getting it somebody". Ladies don't jump to conclusions; this does not mean your man is cheating on you. I have actually learned that this was not one of the main reasons.
5. Fear of not satisfying you or being sexually inadequate. If you sense this could be the issue reassure him with compliments.
6. Past sexual abuse. Past sexual abuse can cause a lot of a decreased sex drive. It is important to get him help if you believe this to be the problem. He may not overcome this on his own without professional help.
7. Fear of having more children or not wanting to have children. Actually I got that several times. It is understandable the stress of taking care of a child and the fear of not being able to provide for the child or children you already have. But there are precautions that can be taken and one I would suggest is a vasectomy, if they already have children.
Those appear to be the main issues I ran into while talking with men and women. The number one right now is stress due to the economy. Ladies it is not always the worst, I know most women think their significant other is cheating on them instantly. But cut them some slack there is so much pressure on so many people right now, just talk to them and support them.
