How would it feel if you had no doubt in the world that you were going to win your mma fight. There is no time to waste when your 12 weeks out from the fight. You need every ounce of your mind knowing and believing that you're going to win.
When we set goals, we're in control!
There is a lot of power in writing or typing down every detail of what you expect and want to happen during training and the fight. Writing down each detail as specifically as possible puts the control in your arena, this will lead to your control during the fight. Either you decide how you want training to go or it will all happen by accident.
Much is the same for your actual fight. Write down and visualize how you want it to go. How are you going to start and how are you going to finish your opponent in every detail. This can actual be fun to write out and works.
Recognize when your goals have been reached, and build your confidence.
Now that you have every goal that you ever wanted to achieve with regards to your training and the fight, you need to enjoy the benefits of achieving the goal. This re-enforces and encourages you that you're on the right track and it feels good.
If you're in training and lifting more, kicking harder, running faster, defending take-downs better, then your belief in your abilities will get stronger and stronger. Because you have everything in writing you can measure your success.
If you believe in yourself, you will do your absolute best.
Believing in your abilities is incredibly important, regardless of where they are at. We make ourselves so humble that we can't recognize how powerful we actually are. But trust us, around training partners, coaches and instructors, be humble. But, always know in your mind that you are an absolute destroyer and knock-out artist.
If you walk into your fight not sure if you're prepared enough then don't go, you might as well not be there. You're wasting everyone's time. But if you walk in there at the end of a 12 week camp knowing without a doubt in your mind that you are going to be a destroyer because you've decided that you've already won, then show everyone what you've got.
These tips are extremely valuable if put into work. You have nothing to lose. You're going to the fight anyways. Why not believe in yourselfs However, these tips are only the beginning. A complete MMA training program is of utmost importance.
