As the episode begins Wolowitz is telling his friends how excited he is to be on the last phase of his top-level security approval. The only remaining step is the FBI interviews his friends have to complete. Unfortunately for Howard the FBI agent is the attractive Special Agent Angela Page (Eliza Dushku).
Agent Page first meets with Raj Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar) who is so focused on his fear of being sent back to India that all of his responses to Agent Page's questions are redirected to his love of the United States. This of course was after he got past his inability to talk to attractive women by eating rum cake. Agent Page leaves Raj's apartment more confused than when she arrived.
Agent Page's second interview was with Leonard Hofstadter (Johnny Galecki) who has convinced himself that the next beautiful women he sees he will courageously ask out. Although the questions start out about Howard they quickly turn toward Leonard and his desire to ask Agent Page out on a date. After she informs him that she is married to a six foot Navy Seal he returns to his shy self and completes the interview.
Agent Page of course saves the best interview for last as she visits the quirky Sheldon (Jim Parsons). After verifying her FBI identification Sheldon allows her to enter his apartment. In true Sheldon fashion he answers her questions as only he would, providing completely irrelevant answers about Howard's disregard for Sheldon's personal property. Just as Agent Page is about to write off Sheldon he accidently mentions Howard's destruction of the Mars rover and she decides that Howard is not fit for the security clearance.
Realizing that he just cost Howard his security clearance, Sheldon requests that Howard forgive him for his slipup. Howard to too upset with Sheldon to forgive him so Sheldon visits with Agent Page to try to make things right and fails miserably. Sheldon goes to the one person he knows can help, Penny (Kaley Cuoco). The scene between the two was priceless as always and was also great to see Penny return to the show after her horse riding accident. Sheldon knows that he has to apologize to Howard and to prove he is serious he offers Howard his coveted seat on the couch in his apartment. Howard accepts his apology and the group reconvenes in Sheldon's apartment to conclude the show. Sheldon's offer is short lived as he asks for his seat back after a couple minutes thus ending another great episode.
The Big Bang Theory: The Apology Insufficiency was another fantastic episode of the hilarious comedy. The Big Bang Theory cast continue to drive the comedic value and direction of this remarkable show. The return of Kaley Cuoco was refreshing as her ability to play off Jim Parsons' character really provide for some amazing comedy moments. The Big Bang Theory is still going strong in its fourth season.
