The Law of Attraction is being talked about a lot these days. It is said to be the easy way to make money, or achieve an ideal relationship, or have the ideal body weight. And it is said to be easy to achieve these goals. But if it is so easy, then why are so many people still having trouble making it work?
The Law of Attraction can be described in just three steps. They are as follows:
Decide what you want, and focus on that.
Allow it to come to you.
Take action.
So how exactly does this work out in practice?
First step: Decide what you want, and focus on that. Sounds pretty simple right? Yes, you would think so, but many people who start to try to practise using the Law of Attraction do tend to fall at this very first hurdle. It's important to be very clear about what you want, because if you don't then you won't be able to focus on it, which is the second section of this step. So being clear is the key to getting started.
Different people have different ways to do this. You need to find your own way, and this requires practice and experiment. Some people like to use actual pictures to give clarity - this is specially useful if you are wanting to attract some physical object, like a new car. Others like to use meditation to help get a clear picture in their mind's eye. Some people like to use contrast - they look at something or some situation in their life that they don't want, and then say, "So what do you want?" This usually helps to give clarity as to what you really do want.
If you follow one or other of these methods, you will find that the focus is coming naturally from your clear decision about what you want. This leads us on to the next step.
Second step: Once you are decided on what you would like the universe to deliver to you, you must then have complete faith that it will do so. That is the quickest way to ensure it will manifest in your life. Most experts advise that you should adopt the mindset that you already have it. This is where many people have difficulty.
Let's say you have decided to attract one million dollars. Now, you are told, you must believe that you already have that money. But you look around you and you don't see it. So you say to yourself, I don't have it yet. You might even repeat this to yourself. In this way, the lack of that money becomes your dominant focus, and then the Law of Attraction will give you more of - a continuing lack. So you have put your focus on the opposite of what you want. You have pushed it away from you, you have not allowed it into your experience.
That's why you need to believe you already have it, and then put your focus on experiencing the pleasant emotions you feel as a result. How do you feel about having a million dollars? Think about that. Your strong emotions will create a powerful vibration which will attract the source of that emotion to manifest in your life. This is the fastest way.
Third step: Take action. It's no use just sitting around waiting for things to just fall into your lap. That won't happen in general. You have to get up and make it possible, and this means taking action. Don't worry, it won't be something you don't like doing! If the thing you want is in tune with your inner being, is something you feel good about, it will happen as a result of you doing something you love doing. And the universe will give you clues as to what you should do.
So concentrate on the first two steps, and before long, if you are open to the signs and clues, you will know what you need to do to achieve what you want.
