Children are special gifts created by God. They are the love we feel the moment we are blessed to be in their presence. Children carry an innocence of light that illuminates the world and helps to color the sky and the flowers as they appear before us. They are the sunshine that lights the world.
I love children. I know the importance of family and the significance of parents building a special bond and relationship with their children; loving them, nurturing them and enjoying them. Children feel loved when mom and/or dad share their time creating and forming a deep-seeded relationship with their children.
There is a wonderful feeling when our children are embraced with the wisdom and knowledge we have been given, bestowed upon them.
Daily reading to children opens their minds and their lives into a whole new world that includes discovering just how great they can be.
One of the greatest and most important things you can do in your child's life is to read to your child. Reading plants seeds that will last a lifetime. Reading to your child is vital and helps to plant seeds that helps to create a loving and lasting relationship between you and them.
Reading to your child plants seeds that grow into a special relationship with your loved ones. Creating and forming a life-long bond through reading is a wonderful gift that you can give to your children they will treasure forever.
I began writing books for my own children seven years ago and read to them every single day. My first book, The Almost New Sled, was very engaging and my children loved it. I read The Almost New Sled to my son's 3rd grade class; they were so moved by the book that you could hear a pin drop in the classroom as I read just how my B.J. andhis friend Tommy played in the snow until B.J.'s sled broke and he was no longer able to sled.
Let your child speak to your heart through reading! What a great way to help your child to learn to read. Why not carve out a window of time exclusively for you and your son/daughter and have them read to you everyday at the same time. FInd a quiet place, let your child cuddle up in your lap and then open your ears, mind and heart and let them begin their awesome journey of reading to and with you! It is one of the best gifts you'll ever receive and they will appreciate the time you'll make just for them!
My children began reading to me a little everyday. We had a large collection of great books; some classic books, some fun books and some Christian books! We enjoyed reading a fantastic collection of great stories. I enjoyed it thoroughly and I encouraged them to read daily. Reading empowered my children which helped them to also become excellent spellers.
I have added to my bookshelf some great books that I believe children and parents will love. Interesting stories that touch the heart of both parents and children spreading love throughout the home. When parents and children engage in reading, children become empowered.
I want to see parents develop a growing and special bond with their children by planting seeds through reading. Reading is a powerful tool that can help change lives and empower children everywhere.
