Tire pressure is referred to the maximum amount of air that your vehicle's tire should contain. It also determines how much weight your vehicle can carry, thereby affecting it overall performance. Tire pressure is measured in PSI which is written on the side of the tire; however, it is not the correct tire pressure. It the maximum amount of air that a tire can hold. To get to know about the correct tire pressure, either go for instruction manuals or check about it on the Internet.

Checking tire pressure is not difficult, now days. Cars come installed with TPMS that keeps the driver informed about the pressure in the tire. If the pressure goes below correct tire pressure, it beeps the lights informing the driver about it. In case, your vehicle does not have TPMS installed, you can buy a tire pressure gauge to know about the air pressure in the tires.

It is always recommended to check the pressure in your tires at regular intervals. You cannot check the tire pressure by seeing it. Use tire pressure gauge to check the pressure and ensure that they are properly inflated. It is not recommended to check the tire pressure when it is cold or hot because the air inside the tire expand or contract accordingly.
