Domain registrar launches a video sharing service on .me domain name.
GoDaddy has launched a video sharing service at Video.me, just the latest .me domain name that the company (which has a stake in the .me registry) has created a product around.
After relaunching .me, GoDaddy founder Bob Parsons dumped his BobParsons.tv personal brand in favor of BobParsons.me. The company also uses VerySocial.me for its Social Visibility offering.
GoDaddy plans to launch a web security product on Security.me, and has filed a trademark application for that brand.
So what is Video.me? It's a YouTube competitor but with an emphasis on being able to share your videos with limited people if you want. Among the features GoDaddy says Video.me has that YouTube doesn't: ability to password protect videos, no ads, ability for videos to be over 10 minutes, phone support, and the ability to download your original non-compressed videos.
Another key difference: Video.me costs money, albeit only a couple bucks a month.
The domain name Poker.ca sold yesterday at the SnapNames.com iGambling auction for $400K.
I marks another huge sale for Moniker.com who seems to be on fire.
Moniker has sold Slots.com, Photo.com, Guns.com, BoardGames.com and Dating.com in just the last 60 days.
That over $10 Million dollars in sales.
Wow
I'm not sure but I think Poker.ca is a record sale for a .CA domain.
Congrats to Monte and the team.
