Contradictory Opinions on 4G Technologies

There is always something to argue about when it comes to new products and services to hit the market. Not only is it natural to dispute the pros and cons of these new items, but it is also healthy for the consumer to understand both what they'll be investing in, and what they can expect of their purchase on a daily basis. Whether people are talking about the best tent to purchase before planning a camping trip on the Appalachian Trail, or if they're talking about the new advantages of wireless Internet technology, there's a slew of supporting factors for every argument. The question, of course, is doing the research in order to back up one's argument with facts and opinions coming from people that are familiar with the products in their real-world application.

The same series of concerns, arguments, and counter-arguments are coming within listening range with the new services that claim to host 4G wireless technologies. As opposed to third generation technology that works with mobile electronic devices, this new wave in the mobile broadband market has been designed to meet more customer needs and demands with regard to online services and products. People are shifting their habits to include Internet usage at every turn of their daily routines. Whether they are ordering groceries online, paying the phone bill, chatting with friends and neighbors, or conducting international business deals, the reliance on mobile technology is taking over people's lives with a vengeance. Despite all the benefits of this improved technology, like any new product or service, it has its dissuaders.

For the sake of a fair argument, we'll assess the opinion of those who are not swayed by 4G technologies, and follow up with the opinion of the growing number of followers in the industry. For those who are not sold on the service, it appears that the lack of coverage is what most bothers them. Because the technology is still so new, mobile broadband at these high-speeds and with great bandwidth is yet to reach all corners of the United States, and is still quite far from touching down in other parts of the world. For the moment, the service is limited in its coverage, and opponents believe that this limits the possibilities when it comes to effective use of a product that utilizes such a service.

On the other hand, supports of services like mobile wimax say that the advantage of having a mobile electronic device with high-speed Internet improves their lives in virtually every way. From the way they handle business to the management of their social life, the power is all right in their hands. They argue that the service is growing so fast in popularity that it is only a matter of time before coverage is expanded to cover all the major cities and towns in the States, as well as rural areas with dense populations. For them, and the growing majority of those who use wireless Internet, the pros clearly outweigh the cons.
