subject: Last Day Of Life VS Future Plans: All About Money [print this page] Last Day Of Life VS Future Plans: All About Money
There's another debating question about living your life like it is the last day of your life or to plan for the future. As I was sharing this with my good friend Chris during our casual meet ups once a week talking and sharing about anything and everything. Well, its really good to have someone who is almost like minded like you as have a common goal in life which is to retire ASAP.
Ok, back to the main topic. Should we live life like it is the last day which we really have no control over or always plan for the future? If it is my last day of life, money = cannot bring with me to another world = worthless BUT WAIT, how about my family or my children?
I believe when we talk about money issues, its always good to have plans for the future. If you think well about the people you are going to leave behind after you pass on. According with your current burdens, yup, we all should be optimist and of course plan for the long term.
Then again, its my last day of life and I would still want to buy my girl her iphone which means I will not know how long I will live till and I will be spending my savings which will be used to grow future money. Uhhh.... now what? (Complicated human beings just love to make things worst when life is that simple)
That's why we should always adopt the BOTH theory in life. We normally have choices and yes... A or B or A and B. We all need to have spare reserves, money which are set asided every month for spending. After allocating money for investments, bills and more bills, we need to pay ourselves and these are the money that will be used to spend on these.
So you need to know your management of finances, allocate your income into different portions like investment, bills, loans, and paying yourself. So when you are going to die tomorrow, you can die in peace cause everything is settled for and I still can buy my iphone 4 with no worries.
Reserve money is always important to cater to the unknowns in life. We'll never know what will hit us and with reserve cash on hand will help to ease a lot of problems. Life brings surprises when we least expected. That's life for you. Always interesting.
So... If its your last day of life... What would you be doing today?
