Before I start what I'm about to tell you, this is an updated version of the post I previously written a year ago, and I have added more information on identifying a scammy (is that a word?) sales page. At first, I thought of creating a report out of this stuff and sell it for $9.95 but I do not know how many people will be interested. Anyway, may be I will use this post as a test to see how many people are interested and may be I will decide to release a report entirely about this stuff...
And May Be.. Just May Be You Should Read What Scam Information I Had For You In This Particular Post Since It's Free To Read As For Now !
Okay, first of all, I want to get thing straight... the stuff you are about to read is all in my opinion of how I, The Bad Blogger, identify a scammy sales page. You ready to listen? I bet so... okay, let's use a real scammy sales page that I had identify a year back and show you every single scam that you should look out for when you hit a sales page, that way I believe you will...
Understand Better And Identify Faster Before You Even Get Caught Up In Buying Scam Products That Will Piss You Off !
Here's the link to the real scammy sales page: http://www.mikesmoneysite.com/ (Anyway all the links are down on that page)
Now, have you ever received comments like this on your blog?
"Hey, nice post, very well written. You should post more about this."
I had received quite a lot since a year back, and it is link to a sales page about a guy name Mike Smithson who earns $5000 plus a month for posting links on Google. I doesn't know if you think this guy is real or not, but I got to tell you he had been mark by...
The Bad Blogger Scum Of Approval !
And I'm going to proof to you what I just said is for real and not some kind of a joke ...seriously I mean it. Listen: I once written this post a year back identify two mistakes he make in his sales page and I bet he had read every single words I had written back then and change those two mistakes and thought he could get away with it. I had something to tell this scammy idiot...
"Your Copywriting Skills Are Below Zero And Even If You Make Those Changes... You Can't Fool The Bad Blogger !"
Would you like to know what are the two changes he had made since then? Well... the first one is his headline and his sub headline. Previously it was written like this: "Learn How I Make $5000+ A Month Posting Links On Google" with a stupid sub headline as this: "Would You Like To Make $5000 A Month Posting A Link On Google." As you can see both the headline and sub headline tells a different story as to "posting links" with "posting a link."And because he read my previous post, he had since change the sub headline to...
Would You Like to Make $5,000 a Month Posting Links on Google?
The second thing he changes, is his bio on the sidebar. Previously whoever from whichever country that get's to his scammy sales page, the sentence... "I live in ____, ____"... the blank will changes to which ever country you are from and which ever states you stay. Well here's the kicker: He never expected a country like Singapore which does not have states will ever reach his sales page. But his wrong. You see, since Singapore do not have a states, the damn stupid software he used...
Can't Track Any State Where I Stay !
And with that said, here's what it become... "I live in Singapore,0o." Well, since he read my previous post a year back, he had since clear of the states problem and change it to just country. You know, I can't imagine how powerful my blog information are....
Even Scammer Could Read My Blog !
Sometime, I just feel my blog is better than John Chow's blog (which he always brag about how good his life are without any specific hard info) and Alvin Phang's blog (which had also started to brag about how his life are going on then giving blogger great blogging info) and Carl Ocab's Blog (which had too much lousy guest post that just don't give powerful content). Well, I'm not saying they suck, I'm saying in terms of content, I might as well...
Win The Information Cup As A Champ !
Okay, enough about how good my blog is, let's press on. As you know. now a days there are a lot of sales page that is not just scammy but also stupid. Okay, here's what they did... they like to show this:
It Is Featured On Google, MSN And Yahoo !
Guess what? My blog is also featured on Google, MSN and Yahoo. So what's the big deal? The Big deal is, they thought using those big names such as Google, MSN and Yahoo will made them look real, but if fact...
It Make Them Look Real Stupid !
Not much of a scam but here's something you might want to know: Some sales page like the one that Mike Smithson had, he even go further, saying it was featured on "ABC" and "CNN." I mean how ridiculous is that. Tell me where's the video and also proof about this big claims? You see, he needs proof for his big claims if it had been featured in big media such as...
TV, Magazine Or Newspaper !
If you go right down to Mike Smithson sales page you will see there is a comment box where you can type, but guess what? Whatever you type, it won't appear. And here's something about using comment box as testimonial: Never, I repeat never ever use a comment box in a sales page.
It's A Sales Page Not A Blog... God Damn It !
And lastly here's how you identify whether a testimonial is real or just self-type bullshit:
Every testimonial must have a picture of the person.
Every testimonial must have the full name of the person. (Full name as in John Carlton, not J.Carlton)
Every testimonial must have the website URL (if he had) of the person.
You want to see how a real testimonial looks like? Go to this sales page and look at those testimonial : http://www.simplewritingsystem.com/ (I have got the product myself and is the best in all basic copywriting product ever) - Forgive me, pitching is in my bones and I just can't help myself sometime, especially...
