Who put that "K" in front or Armageddon? According to traditional Christian interpretations, the Messiah, the "Lamb", will return to earth and defeat the Antichrist, the "Beast", in the battle of Armageddon. Then Satan will be put into the bottomless pit or abyss for 1,000 years, known as the Millennial age. Right! NOT! The inspiration for this commentary comes from al places but the Washington Post which published this statement, "Karmageddon is like when everybody is sending off all these really bad vibes, right? And then, like, the earth explodes, and it's like a serious bummer." Well, maybe we should change a few ideas here. :-) Scientists speak now of electromagnetic fields carrying light and information. We all live within a FIELD of LIGHT and a FIELD of LOVE. So, what's up with all the killing and competition going on in the world? What are we missing? Where is the hope? Can we make such a major exponential change in consciousness between now and 12.21.2012 to change the world? It's not as though we really have to DO anything, but that we feel DOING is the answer instead of just BEING. Maybe Lao-Tse had it right when he wrote, "The snow goose need not bathe to make himself white. Neither need you do anything but be yourself". Ah, but only if we knew who we were! We are simply falling prey to KARMA! We're getting what we sow, we're reaping what we've planted. We've been spreading hatred and not LOVE. We've been TALKING and not LISTENING. As Stephen Covey has said, "Seek first to understand before seeking to be understood." Or, how about this statement whose author is not known, "A wise old sat in an oak,
The more he heard, the less he spoke,
The less he spoke, the more he heard,
Why don't you be like that wise old bird?" Armageddon may or may not be a future reality; however, karmageddon is surely one NOW! About the Author:
