Philanthropy is the effort or inclination to raise the welfare of humankind, through charitable support or donations to the helpless and needy. But only a few makes it a requirement to share their bountiful blessings to both emotionally and financially deprived individuals. Mouli Cohen realizes that as a successful technology entrepreneur, it is a must to give back to the right people at the right places to have a greater sense of fulfillment and confidence in one's self. Mouli Cohen has hit an enormous amount of three billion dollars for the shareholder's value of his investments on a number of startup businesses. Mouli Cohen believes that by giving back money to those who deserve to helped, gives you the chance to earn more money and receive more blessings and in the end, gives you the privilege to work harder on your philanthropic activities.
Mouli Cohen supports several foundations, bringing the same focus and determination he has on businesses to make a commitment through grants to national and international organizations. His philanthropic programs are classified into three fields, which include health care, community and the arts. The health care organizations which he continuously supports include Camp Okizu, Childhood Vision Campaign, Stem Cell Research, Autism Speaks, UCSF Children's Hospital and NCCC. His community beneficiaries include the Tenderloin Development Corporation, America India Foundation and the HAART and Harvest. His passion for the arts has lead him to giving aids to the Russian Arts Foundation, Oakland School for the Arts, FAMSF/de Young Museum, Asian Art Museum, The Legion of Honor and SFMOMA.
These numerous organizations is part of the second half of Mouli Cohen's life. He finds a great satisfaction and confidence in the next life by living a philanthropist's life.
