I've just started using this product and so far it looks like I've got a lot to learn. There are books out on how to use photoshop, but I think that more info should have come with the software.

I take lots of photographs & Photoshop comes in handy. It has some easy ways to adjust your pictures, reduce them to JPEG, crop, etc. I wish it came with a book with detailed instructions for the so many wonderful things it can do. It takes time to play with the program & figure things out. I bought a separate book to help

Nice Upgrade
I bought this to upgrade from my older version of Adobe Elements. It's fairly simple to use for basic photo editing or it can perform more complex functions. There are additional instruction books you can buy to more easily perform the more complicated tasks and... It's loaded with many features!

PE 8
Had to upgrade from PE5 to PE8 because changed operating system to Windows 7. Haven't used enough to see much difference between PE5 & PE8. Do like the program though not as simple as they would like you to believe. Constantly going into the help section. Wish did better job on grainy pictures, I can't seem to make them clear. Would still recommend though.

Good Product
I love the photoshop Elements 8 ONCE I TAUGHT MYSELF HOW TO USE IT. This does NOT come with any instructions and you have to keep playing around with everything to figure it out. The HELP area gives you some ideas but not complete.. Great system once you figure it out though..

Worth the upgrade
I was previously using PSE 5 so I figured the new features were worth the upgrade. I haven't had a chance to try them all yet, but they look promising. It's definitely good to upgrade every few years to get more features that make editing quicker, but the basics are pretty much the same.
I am a self-taught Photoshoper, so I am learning new techniques all the time and take advantage of as many free tutorials as I can find. It's not the easiest program to just buy and learn to use on your own, but now that I can use it, I couldn't live without it. I use it for photo editing and digital scrapbooking. Almost every photo I take gets edited in PSE somehow before I use it or print it.

Love PSE
I had an aging PS6 that I had managed to keep alive through 4-5 PCs over the years. My recent adoption of Windows 7 forced my hand. I bought PSE after trying the 30-day demo. I'm sure someone, somewhere has compiled a list of all the ways in which PSE is inferior to PS CS6(?), but in the course of my needs, I have yet to find a single feature from PS that I can't still do in PSE, oftentimes with greater efficiency. I waited for the right combination of sale price and rebate and ended up paying about $35 for this.
